“Ha’Davar — The Word”

Inspired by John 1:1, this artwork reflects on Ha’Davar — “The Word” — tracing the journey of the eternal Christ through three panels: Eternity. Incarnation. Redemption.

The gold-leafed upper panel represents the eternal Word in communion with the Father before creation. The fractured middle panel speaks of the incarnation—God entering human fragility. The final panel, marked by a cross on oxidised copper, points to Christ’s sacrifice and the redemption made possible through Him.

Fastened together on aged oak, the work forms a vertical narrative of the Word who was, who is, and who became flesh.
